May Chapter Meeting

WHAT: Speaker & Grafting Demo
WHO: Judy Casale, Beekeeper & Chapter Librarian
WHERE: Garden for the Environment, 7th Avenue and Lawton Street, San Francisco, CA

12:00-1:00 Brown bag lunch and self-guided tour of garden.
1:00-2:00 Judy's talk on beekeeping
2:00-3:00 Limited green wood exchange (late for greenwood, see the GG CRFG
website for details on collection of wood)
Budding and bark grafting demonstration by John Valenzuela

Go to the main entry. There will be a sign for the meeting site. Bring sun
hats, water, and a small blanket or small folding chair to sit on.

Also note that there is a morning presentation on Managing Garden Pests and Diseases from 9 AM until Noon at the Garden for the Environment. Enrollment is $15.

Directions: Public transit: Take the N-JUDAH MUNI Metro from downtown to 9th & Judah, then
transfer to 43-Masonic or 44-O'shaughnessy outbound to 7th & Lawton. One can
also take the K, L or M MUNI Metro train to the Forest Hill Station, then catch
the 43-Masonic to 7th and Lawton or even walk down Laguna Honda Blvd. if it is pleasant. A better
alternative might be to take BART to Glen Park and then catch 44-O'shaughnessy
to 7th & Lawton or BART to Balboa Park and catch the 43-Masonic to 7th & Lawton.

Automobile: Go to and click on Directions to get a map and driving instructions from your location.
