Fruit Specialists

Fruit Specialists are volunteers who make themselves available to answer specific questions relative to individual fruits. First-time members receive a list of these specialists. Questions on specific fruits, as well as questions on other horticultural topics, should be sent to the Fruit Specialist Coordinator who will direct them to the appropriate Specialist or other experts inside and outside CRFG. While this is essentially a service for members, CRFG will also accept questions from the general public as time permits. As all of these people are volunteering their time, please do not expect lengthy answers. Because of climatic differences, questions about what you might grow in your microclimate are best answered at local chapter meetings, or by a local nursery. We do not provide plant material. A list of nursery sources is available on-line, as well as from the Fruit Specialist Coordinator.
