Tour maps and directions will be mailed with your registration confirmation.
In addition, you should bring a standard road map for each area you plan to
visit.
Last-Minute Directions
If for some reason you do not receive your tour directions, they may be picked
up at:
- For Tuesday Wolfskill tour: Idell Weydemeyer home tour on
Monday afternoon & evening (510-223-6291 or iwgarden@sbcglobal.net for directions);
or call Ray Sheehy at 530-666-7182 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday
morning.
- For Wednesday tours around Santa Clara Valley: Wednesday morning
at Prusch Park 8:00-9:15 a.m.
- For Wednesday tours at the UC Santa Cruz Campus: call Chuck
Rust on Tuesday evening at 831-728-6515.
- For Thursday tours in the Watsonville area: Wednesday evening
at the picnic at Prusch Park (6:00-7:00 p.m.) or Idell's room at the UCSC
Inn & Conference Center, 8:00-9:30 p.m.
- For Friday morning tours in the Santa Cruz area: in the parking
lot of the UCSC Inn & Conference Center, by the car pool signs for each
tour: 8:00-8:30 a.m. & again at 9:30-10:00 a.m.
Carpools
Car pools for Wednesday will start from Prusch Park (647 S. King Road, San
Jose), for Thursday from the Santa Cruz County Fairground at 2601 E. Lake Avenue,
Watsonville (19 miles or 25 minutes southeast of UCSC Inn & Conference Center),
and Friday from the UCSC Inn & Conference Center at 611 Ocean Street, Santa
Cruz. If you are late, your tour space will be given to the next one on the "wait"
list.
Driving Logistics
For the Wolfskill tour on Tuesday, it is recommended that you travel to Davis
or Pinole (halfway) on Monday by mid afternoon because of the heavy traffic
in the Bay Area.
For the Wednesday tours in Santa Clara, it is recommended that you stay in
the San Jose area Tuesday evening due to heavy traffic.
