2005 Festival of Fruit

Limited Edition Commemorative Apple Trees

These trees were custom grafted in Sebastopol this year by the Redwood Empire Chapter of CRFG to commemorate the CRFG Year of the Apple. The variety is 'Hawaii' (Gravenstein x Golden Delicious), a very pretty yellow apple with light pinkish-orange striping. The fruit is crisp, tender-skinned, and exceptionally sweet with a slight hint of banana or pineapple flavor. Some people claim one side of an apple will taste different from the other, and apples from one side of the tree can taste different from apples on the other side of the tree. Spreading in growth, moderate sized, and easily trained.

Introduced in Sebastopol, California, in the Sonoma Wine Country in 1945 by William Silva.

Only 25 trees available, signed and numbered, $25 each, with #1 and #25 reserved for a silent auction at the 2005 Festival of Fruit. Buy your tree now for delivery at the Festival by sending $25 to: Commemorative Tree Purchase, C/o David Ulmer, 7157 Camellia Lane, Sebastopol CA 95472
