AVERRHOA BILIMBI - Bilimbi
A medium-sized Asian tree similar to carambola but with fewer branches and longer leaves clustered at the branch tips. The red and white flowers develop on the trunk and lower branches; the fruit is 2-3" long, waxy, green cucumber-like and sour. They can be used to remove stains from clothing, can be pickled or cooked with sugar.
